check this out

My friend has this one and like it

http://www.vivintsolar.com/en/

And right on the front page the lead story is a guy with 25 panels who saves $29/Month. Where's the benefit? Ugly panels on my roof, holes in the roof and the savings is $30-40 a month? The biggest savings seen on their "Customers Stories" page is $44. The graph they use to show average savings over a year is based on Hawaii. Where the rates are crazy and the on avg 200 days out of the year is cloud free to mostly sunny. The cost per Kw/hr in Hawaii averages anywhere from 35-50 cents/Kw/Hr. That's 3-4 TIMES our rate.

Long island averages between 100 and 120 full sun days a year. You don't need a Phd in math to see what you get.

Yes and no. Lets say your current mortgage is 2000 per month and you have 20 years left on your loan and you refi and it goes to 1700 a month but now your back to 30, if you can afford to pay 2000 at least 6 times a year you should be able to catch up with your original mortgage time frame and save 1800 a year. If you cant then yes you will have more years but save 3600 pear year.

Paying less for longer you wind up laying out the same amount in the long run. You just have a smaller monthly payment.

You need to do what you have to but refinancing, unless you want to to lower payment and or take some cash out is crazy just to keep the tank. You're not going to see the savings you think you may see by packing up the tank. Jmo but I'd rather have my tank and be diligent about my usage in other areas than extend an already long mortgage and or get rid of the tank. But that's for you to decide. Hit me up about the LEDs if/when you do year it down.

I have Dyscalculia and all this math has made me throw up....twice! Thank God for having a wife with 2 Masters Degrees.
On that note, it really is infuriating how Dumbo...I mean Cuomo, pushed to bring in PSE&G to benefit us and as of to date, nothing has changed. As far as storm response, we shall see. Every thing is going up, except our paychecks.

Is it coincidence that as the unions across america is being taken apart that more Americans are suffering in their wallets while the rich are getting richer?

I worked my arse off from the time I was 18 to 24 7 days a week 70 to 80 hours a week to afford a down payment while living in a back house apt. Its not "At least I have a house" The payments on my house in 12 years went up 500 per month due to tax increase and insurance and thats just the house payments. Its probably gone up 1000 per month with all the utilities raising. They bleed you dry so you cant be above the water your always drowning

Yup the gap is getting wider and wider. As a society we probably won't do anything until we're starving to death. People are still too comfortable to care.

I been working 7 days a week since I'm 9yrs old for over 21 years. I Still don't even have enough for a used car down payment. If U can buy a house at 24 u can manage an insurance increase at ur age. Sell some frags you'll be fine.

If you can save at least 1 mortgage point, staying in your house at least 5 years and taking no equity out then refinance. So what you add 12 years to the morgage, like you said if you can afford to put the savings towards the principle you can gain most of those years back and still save money on the interest.

Back to electricity, do you have a pool? I know my bill is ridiculous because of the pool pump.

Im sure you were working 70 hours a week at 9 years old. You should make some better choices if you work 70 hours a week and dont have enough for a used car. Sounds like you need a financial planner
