In all seriousness, I believe some people do feed Euphyllia's.
They would have to chime in though.
I have never fed & they grow quick.
If anything it would have to be meaty. Cyclo is too small for them.
Have you see a response when feeding mysis?
The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within its body provides the majority of its nutritional requirements from photosynthesis. It will also benefit from additional food in the form of micro-plankton or brine shrimp.
Sure. I brake a piece of krill in 2-3 pieces and with a long tong I feed it directly into the mouth of the hammer/frog/torch. After a couple of minutes the krill will slowly dissappear.:eat:
yeah lps should be fine. im running t5's
but ugh
my torch is doing it again.
twice now at this time ive found that about 3 heads of my branching torch are closed up. could it be that its running on its internal clock? my tank usually has a 9:00 bedtime. is there not enough flow? im considering just a plug and play powerhead. i checked most retail sites and they said torch is a difficult coral. im scared :frown:
Emily they are T5 powercompact bulbs which means the bulb is really Power compact not T5. Unless you upgraded the lighting fixture you only have PC lighting in that tank.
ABout the torch, is the flesh missing leaving just the skeleton or is it just not expanding? If more and more heads are closing that can't be a good thing.
the first time it happened 2 heads closed up. they just shrink up like they do when the lights are out. this time the same 2 heads did it and 2 more, but i could be wrong, maybe they all closed last time but i didnt see the ones in back. i see a water change coming up soon.
they opened up the next day and stayed normal for about a week then it happened again. im gonna test perams tomorrow.
Kris I was half asleep when I was typing having just been woken up by my kids fighting over some toy :irked: What I meant to say was T5's were in between MH and PC lighting. They had higher intensity than the PC's.
ET I would do a water change after you test the water to see what is out of whack.
