pictures would only be redundant lol. well, i do have some coralline growth which is good. i also have a little cyanobacteria in there but im dealing with it by increasing flow and frequent water changes.

ok so you know how i said everythings going fine EXCEPT for some algae? well i still have a little problem, this:
The algae on this chunk of lr is just outta control! it's not loose or anything, it has a strong grasp onto the rock. It isn't spreading at all, its just staying there. The rest of the tank looks fine.(dont ask me for my phosphates, i still need to get my hands on a good phosphate test kit) The cyano is diminshing as i speak, i just need to get rid of this junk. Any grazers that will eat this stuff? The reason it is still here could be because i only have 2 snails 1 hermit crab and 1 shrimp(my sexy shrimp doesnt count. all he does is dance)
also, what are those green stalks in the middle of the picture???
sorry for the bad pic

pull rock out of tank and brush it off, after brushing use a powerhead to try and blow loose stuff off, do this when doing a water change and clean the rock in the bucket of old water

i said new pics would be redundant! the tank looks EXACTLY the same. ill post a pic later...
Well, i just did the whole rock brushing ordeal with my water change and i failed miserably. i ended up just upsetting the tank from moving the lr around. i managed to give the algae a "trim" but wasnt able to scrub it all off. it was hard to pull it out from the roots because most of it isnt long enough to grip. ill try putting my snails on the rock and see how they react. the cyano is ALL GONE
i do have some bubble algae spreading though. i still need a good phosphate test kit mine is one of the junky ones.
should i get phosphate removing media??

after this algae goes away(if it ever leaves) i am considering getting another ocellaris clown. ive heard theyre not as aggressive as tomatoes but will i have a bullying problem? i can rearrange my aquascape if necessary.(i was planning on rearranging anyways.)

im ususally not fooled by molting but.....:rolleyeys: my hermit's alive. the reason i thought he was dead was because i swear i saw tissue coming out of the molt.

my shopping list:
5 turbo snails
2 emerald crabs
maybe hermit crabs. im not sure yet.
1 naked False perc? i want to get my other ocellaris a friend, but will they get along? i know that ocellaris clowns aren't as aggressive as others. if they'll get along, should i add him after the algae problem?

hey thanks! will he get territorial since he isnt used to other fish? your percula was used to other fish, including clowns when you introduced the ocellaris. im just worried that my ocellaris is so used to being alone that he won't be nice to the new one.
