Look man anything on your tank or mine will eventually clog up. I was just giving everone here heads up to check their siphon holes and such. If I want to know if YOU think its alright to use a ball valve on the overflow I will ASK you for your .02 cents. Later.

Dude, my tank is drilled to with a 1" bulkhead. I have the ball valve in the overflow line to reduce the water flow to knock out that dreadfull gurggling sound.

I have about a 4.5 in clam in my 75g with yellow sponges growing on the sides near the lip edge. Are these harmfull?

Marco, only thing I can tell you is I have the two 3in. fans on each side of the hood. (See pics above) They come on with the PC's. They keep the tank cool (80) in the winter. I put the clip on fan (about six in.) on the sump (see pic above) in the summer. It keeps the tank about 82 degree. It...
