heh, I did the same thing and got more colorful plants but I think I OD'd them as they bloomed very quickly and then seemed to cycle themselves 10X too fast :) LOL J

wow razor...i was just about say reiterate rays dont belong in pvt aquarist tanks(albeit the majority of em)...and you went ahead and surprised everyone. I know it sucks but it was the right and smart decision. As for the mandarins..they can be kept successfully and there is no reason not to...

taxifolia is the plague caulerpa thats being banned around the world. Its not the wisest to keep and several other species do better, ie..razor, and calcerous algaes like halimeda. 24 hr lighting will prevent caulerpa from going sexual as well. J

I have a 1502, one newer than james has. I notice the same problems actually. I have excess CO2 buildup in the chamber and when it gets a bit low, the flow stops and my effluent doesnt come out..this makes me wonder if I go on vacation how many days I have...not fun.... Its a great reactor...
