My power went out last night for about 6-8 hrs and in looking at my tank from top down w/ith the pumps off, I noticed a bud coming off of my haddoni with tencacles. I closer examined it to be an offshoot but as I touched the main anemone, the bud got annoyed and closed up, here are pics of the bud, but the tentacles are not showing. Mind you the pics are from night but are still quite clear. Anyone else seen their haddoni do this? I havent ever read about it before. My haddoni is over 3 years old and has never done anything like this before

In The Reef Aquarium Vol II by Sprung and Delbeek has some photos of S.gigantea and S.mertensii budding on page 120. On page 124 they show S.gigantea in the process of longitudinal fission. It seems that carpets are more likely to bud.
