I have nothing against the mods but I have never been apart of a forum where the mods take action without any explanation. It makes for power happy mods in my opinion, and Im not going after any particular mod here I have no idea who did what this was a generalized statement.

Dude, where have you been hiding? This board is pretty easy going, go to RC, or for that matter any other board on the web and see what they'll let you get away with. Most boards you would be banned for just the slightest thing, and it wouldn't be so fast you wouldn't even knew what hit you.

Ive been part of many forums from cars to animals ive managed regional sections for all sorts of forums. Im not new to this game and in order to not start mass problems a simple explanation is always given to explain a delete. Even if its said it was deleted just because.

I just find it hard to believe that 50 some od pages of informative info needed to be deleted to edit 5 or so posts.

and lenny im sorry you feel that way but im not new to mr ive taken a break because I didnt have a tank and when I was here before I started to try and get meets together. I also dont see alot of the guys I was friends with here. and now im starting to realize why.

I know nobody is forcing me, I actually enjoy helping people especially newbs. I just don't like my beloved site to be attacked over nonsense. Hey Stann here's an Idea, why don't you and the foot doctor start your own site and have all the M&G you want. I sure it won't be a problem since YOU know it doesn't take any money to run a site.

This is not directed at anyone in particular, so if you take it personally, it's probably meant for you.

Josh runs the site to give back to a hobby he enjoys. That said, unless you're his accountant, it's none of anyone's business what he makes (if anything) running this website. So drop it.

I didn't want to get involved in this thread, but it's gotten disgusting.

If you have an issue with the site or the mods. LEAVE!

Free speech does not apply on a privately owned website just because the owner is nice enough to grant free use of the site. If I came to your house and started calling you names, would you think it's perfectly ok?

Everyone needs to stop jumping the gun and chill out. Or, here's the alternative... GET OUT! LEAVE! GO AWAY!

No one is keeping you here, so go start your own site! Then when you get no visitors, the site goes down, and you want reefing advice, you can limp back to MR with your tail between your legs.

I am neutral. I've never been to one of these M&Gs and I haven't gone to a swap in years. While I know some of the mods, we don't hang out.

I'm just sick of people feeling entitled to do whatever they want just because they're on the web.

I have no comment on this all I ever wanted to do was meet up with a few guys around me and it turned into all of this political bs. I asked for ok's and never got an answer. Then my thread was censored with no reason why. Then I got no answer on anything I could do. I even jeopardized my relationship with a good vendor and friend for all of this who I havent heard from since. Its been amazing to see all of the crap that went on around here and this post itself will probably be deleted in a matter of minutes which speaks for itself.

I'm not a mod, but come spring, I may have a small gathering to showcase a few beers. There will be no frags and no reef related talk, but beer is the great equalizer anyway.

MR folks might like to know that the innocent and aggrieved M&G organizers have been *busy organizing the Meet and Greets into a completely separate club complete with annual Dues and guest fees and a year long calendar of events already planned, *an administrative structure with officers, *a website and who *knows what else. This is of course their prerogative, but maybe, just maybe, people can *understand why this might PO MR just a little bit. And please don't be duped into *thinking that this the only course they could take in response to *MR oppression-- this was planned long before the threads were deleted, *and the deletions were a response, not the other way around.*

Oh, and Harry and all the other wanna be Godfather gangsters, the NY Reef mafia thing was done a long time ago with the title assigned (and nationally recognized) to folks whose contributions to the hobby earned them that status. Some of them even come here from time to time and you ( I'm sure unwittingly) insult them with your lack of respect. Which come to think of it, seems to be a common thread here.

Bravo Randy! I was dieing to call these clowns out but promised to keep my mouth shut (anyone that knows me will tell you its difficult for me). They want you to believe that they are being singled out and that the big bad MR doesn't want members to get together but that's the furthest from the truth.
