The primer and pvc cement can go in tank. Do the outside stuff first, so you get practice with the primer. If you can make it neat and clean it'll look better when you see it inside your tank. Outside, in the back, who cares what it looks like. The primer is like Minwax Stain, it sort of has a life of its own and gets all over everything.
thanks a bunch russ... ur prob. happy now that im getting the tank drilled. lolz.. see i always wanna make everyone happy and my life alot easier.. lolz...
im gonna have the tank running with reg. freshwater for at least a day or 2 to ensure everything is good and no leaks.. ummm should i silicone the bulkhead 2.. or just the gasket, teflon tape and enough tightening should do the trick... thanks again
Gasket on the inside, no need for any teflon tape. The large nut that goes on the outside just compresses the gasket. No water will seep through the threads anywhere.
i cant wait till the tank warming. whos gonna come.. free beer (after hearing this i could imagine hermans ears go up and eyes lighten up.), food, pool, and talking reef...........
here ya go guys just showing a pic of the Asm g3 skimmer just got it today... the only thing that sucks i cant even hook it up... but tank should be on its way soon..
also waiting for the gate valve mod kit which is on its way...
Place it in the tub and run it for a few hours in freshwater to remove manufacturing residue; it'll help shorten the break-in period once it hits saltwater.
