THANE, What do you mean IF, of course, I'm reading this thread, I need to steal some of your ideas, so you're more than welcome to some of mine! I've been working on the multiple surge idea...hopefully, I'll be able to divide up a 120g tank into four 30g chambers (so I'll need to 'borrow' your return manifold idea)....I suggest installing an electric garage door opener for your hood! a 10 ft hood, has to weigh a ton, the hood on my 8' 300g was so heavy, I put 200 lbs of counter-weights in the wall!
