Well here we go again. This time I am trying to document more of my build than I have in the past. My old tank which was a 210 was great but my fish and some corals wound up outgrowing it rather quickly. As a result I started looking for something that would suit my fish and corals better. Roughly a month ago I came across a tank(thanks Jared) that was to good to pass up. It was a 120" x 32" x 30" acrylic tank that was in very good condition with a stand to match. the total water volume of the tank is 500 gallons. Tied to this system will be a 50 gallon frag tank and a 125 gallon sump that have been on my system for roughly a year and a half. Here is a rundown of the equipment that will be used on this system.

The lighting is still being figured out but will likely go with a similiar setup I have used in the past. Lumen Brights mh with actinic supplementation. This is the last peice of puzzle and have a little time before i have to pull the trigger. There are still some LED's being explored as well. In addtition, there will be a controller used and am leaning towards the apex unit.

Pics are on the way.....:splitspin

Thane, here is my quote from 8/2/09
650g total volume...450g tank, 150g sump, 50g frag tank, which is actually about 100g LESS than the tanks I'm running, right now, to hold everything. Maybe I'll have to call this a DOWNgrade :splitspin
