I am new here. I prayed to Jesus to be set free from smoking addiction and I was instantly set free . Its been 3+ yrs and my 15 yr addiction is gone forever. I dont even remember what it feels to be in love with cigarettes!

Anyone else experience a glass feeling on their teeth or is it just me?
Definitely still get urges but I fight them off so far. I was surprised even being stressed/pissed off today for a moment I didn't think about having a cig to calm my nerves.

I don't remember glass feeling when i was taking chantix. I do remember stomach thing tho. When you get pissed off just yell SERENITY NOW. lol

Congrats Brando., Don't sabotage yourself thinking about weight. After all once your able to breath better then maybe you can start to work out. Hey maybe you can run the marathon.
Thanx Russ.. It's really great. Now i don't have to change the channel every time those nasty quit smoking commercials air.

+ 1 on coffee and meals. You stuck with it thats great. Seems there are a few MR members that have had a lot of success with this habit.

Sunday will make 2 weeks, no urges and actually enjoy being able to breathe and smell.
Chantix is good, BUT I have very very vivid Sreams that seem so real. Also if I take it without eating I get nauseous and puked once.
Other than that I'm feeling great!

I quit smoking when i started reefing in 08', it feels better to buy a fish then a carton of smokes,lol

And on a sad note tonight I will be attending the wake of a co-workers brother who died of a lung cancer Tuesday night. He also had heart disease. Anthony smoked two packs a day for years. He was 45 and leaves behind a wife and three children all under the age of 20. Rip Anthony! God bless you:sad2:
