Hey all....I have an outdoor kitchen on my deck with a built-in Keg-O-Rator and need some opinions on what beers to stock for the spring/summer season. I can hold two 1/6th kegs which is about 60 or so beers each so it wont be around too long  !!! Last summer I've had the following kegs and would like to try something new (keep in mind I like a nice IPA but still need a lighter beer for people that don't like anything too hoppy):

Blue Point Toasted Lager
Blue Point Hoptical Illusion
Magic Hat Lucky Cat
Brooklyn Lager
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale (I think)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Now it's time for something new.....bring it on !!!:givebeer:

Some local breweries you didn't mention:

Sixpoint (Brooklyn, NY)
Ramstein (Butler, NJ)
Cricket Hill (NJ)
Flying Fish (NJ)
River Horse (NJ)
New Jersey Brewing Co. (Not yet fully open, but releasing a batch this weekend)
Long Trail (Vermont)
Dogfish Head (Delaware)

I'm sure I missed some, but all of these (NJBCo pending taste) are great breweries.

Problem is....not sure if I can get them in a small keg, I'll have to ask my keg guy what's available. Need two choices though, leaning toward the Land Shark for the lighter one but now need a nice IPA !!!! Thanks All.

Love the DOfish Head 60 Min IPA and the 90 too....$$$$ lots of coin for the 90 min. It's around $150 for a 1/6 keg....ouch...

It's crazy on tap !!! But in the bottle not too great IMO. One beer and you are gone !!!:Hydrogen:

Yeah... it's a bit too syrupy in the bottle. Draft is sick.

I have a freezer with a Ranco keeping the temp perfect for my kegs, but I brew, so I just serve my own beer on draft. I also have a fairly respectable bottle collection with a few gems... a '97 Samiclaus, '94 Sam Adams Triple Bock, and a couple of Thomas Hardy's from the 90's.

Sounds like a sick set-up. I converted a fridge to fit 2 sixtels and have a double tap on the counter-top. I'll take a pic when it's light out. I just added some extra insulation in the tower and to the door of the rator. Last year had an issue with the temp swing during the day. I like to keep it around 38 but it was getting up to like 44ish. If the insulation doesn't work I'm going to build a temp controller, think Johnson Controls make the one I need, can get at Grainger.

My friend has a beer distributor on Long Island, he stocks a crazy amount of varieties of beer. Sounds like you have a nice selection too !!
