i like heinaken light, but usually one bottle out of every six is skunked.. not sure y.. and the funny thing trigg i was busting your chops abt the blue moon, i actually like that beer.. its a big thing out in jersey since it started in a jersey micro brewery..

Without getting into too much detail... Molecules in the beer will bind to sulphur when exposed to extended periods of UV light, creating a "skunk" aroma and flavor. Brown bottles offer more protection than green, which is why it's more prevalent in some beers.

Yeah the only way to describe it was... delicious. And their "Small" was the size of our pitchers, well slightly smaller, but much bigger than what you get at bars here.

i know it has alot to do with the bottles, but the original heineken doenst seem to have the same problem.. wasnt sure it it had to do with the lighter beer or if it was a difference in handling...

Alcohol does act as a preservative, so it's possible that it occurs more frequently in a lighter beer. I have some beers in my collection that are over 15 years old and still drinkable, all with a fairly high ABV.

Yeah, my beer guy has a variety of the Capt. Lawrence on tap all the time. I'm gonna make sure I try them when I'm there.

yea motor I couldn't believe you didn't like it..I knew you were in the closet with blue moon! I actually felt the same way about the orange in beer at 1st. I went to a bar with my cuz and he was drinkin it I was like I duno about putting oranges in beer man he was like just try it. I fell in love instantly it's just so damn good and so smoothe. A nice big fat chunk of orange squeeze it in and drop it..AHHHh. I'm going to get a keg of it for my house warming party. =]

not a huge fan but sometimes its nice.. has to be really cold tho.. i prefer the landshark big time, its got the light/heavy/smooth taste all at once... its like a light creamy corona with the lime .. but different lol
