I agree I was very upset when they signed him. He is great when he plays for other teams but can't get it done in pinstripes.

Like I said,CC and Hughes maybe.Andy is gone,AJ gone,Javy gone,Cliff Lee comes in,Keep Nova.Mariano gone,Wood takes that spot.

Like I said way back in the begining of this thread, I stll think Phillies vs Yanks with Philly winning the WS! The Phillies top 3 of the rotation are pitching lights out and the bridge to Lidge is all good again! The offensive firepower is still there but the big difference from this year to last year is definietly the pitching, Phillies are primed to make a run to another Championship!

Andy is great when his stuff is down,Hughes needs to trust his stuff,CC is a confident dude so nuff said about him,Best pitcher they've had in a long time.Mussina was my guy for many years.

I'm a lifelong Phillies fan, been going to games since the mid 70's I don't know how anybody in their right mind would not think Roy Halladay and Roy Oswalt are not an upgrade over Cliff Lee? there is absolutely no logic behind that? Roy Hallday is gonna win the NL Cy Young (21-10 ERA 2.44!) Oswalt's record since being traded to Phily is 7-1 and his ERA is 1.76! I think that constitutes an upgrade. Sure in a perfect world holding on the Cliff Lee would have been awesome but I think heading into the post season Philly has much better pitching than they did last years playoffs
