BC- I have personally never had a one night stand. For some reason the world does have a stereotype when it comes to girls being loose or cheap if they have sex on the first date and for guys its always a hi-5 or another notch on their belt if they "score" on the first date. I had a close male friend tell me once his g/f slept with him the first day they went out and although they went out for over a year he never loved her as a result and that kinda always stayed in my head.

most of the guys I know do not think this way. there are some but they are the exception.

as for your friend that's such a double standard. he was there doing the same thing. close friend or not that's his hang up. why would you let such a view point inhibit you from possibly doing something you wanted to? As B said if the attraction is there and you feel a connection, trust what ever you want to call it, then go for it.

we agree. we both know we were very lucky to have found each other. i don't think it has anything to do with fast sex though and then running out of a relationship.we feel lucky because we found each other, not because we didn't run out on each other after a few months.i guess what i'm trying to say is that we both know how hard it would be to find someone else as compatible as we are.
