Wellll Awilda now as a multiple time dog owner you should know that part of puppy proofing your home is to remove all walls so they can't chew on them!!! LOL;)

Got some bad news from the breeder today. Brooke couldn't deliver the pups naturally so they had to do an emergency C section. The risk with that is the puppies get exposed to the sedation same as mom and can actually drown in the fetal sacks they're in.

Well out of 12 pups only 1 survived:(

Also Brooke had a torn uterus and had to have surgey to repair that. They're picking her up from the vet tonight and hopefully she'll be ok.

Pretty sad day.

It was actually a female that survived the c section.
Here she is:

Again, hopefully Brooke has a speedy recovery from her surgeries.

ahhh....jimmy....you gotta choose bella!!! look at them freckles on her nose!!!!

Cutie I know but her nose will be black, so no nose freckles in the end- shes a fighter. She has to have a minor surgery to correct the top lip at 6-8 weeks so it'll be done before she goes home with someone. You can see it comes to a v instead of going straight across. After the surgery you'll never know it was done.

The breeder just called, turns out she survived and a male that she delivered naturally so there are 2 from her litter.

The rundown of pups is gonna be:

Martinas litter:
The male is going to be a show dog, no surprise there
Possibly 1 brindle girl available if the people that had picks before me pass on these litters

Brookes litter:
The male delivered naturally has been reserved by a couple that are going to show him, but are worried about possible health issues--(they don't really understand that the 2 that are alive are healthy, good strong hearts and lungs)-- so he may be available, I'll have pics of him later today

Bella will most likely be available.-- I may just choose her, would prefer a brindle but would take her in a heartbeat as well!

Ok so I may be leaning towards Bella if she's available. A)She's a fighter with a will to live to have been the only one to survive the C section. B) People that don't understand the situation are probably going to pass on this little beauty. C) She's got completely normal, strong and healthy heart and lungs and D).........

Ok, so I am in Ohio. Flew out yesterday. I arrived at 4:30, got checked in and went to see the pups at about 6:30. They were tuckered out from a long, stressful day of eating and sleeping lol. Held both the brindle girls and they each wanted 1 thing- to go back to their siblings. Held Bella the fawn girl and she sniffed my face crawled in my arm a bit and settled down and put her head in the crease of my elbow.

So I have officially chosen Bella as my new buddy!! Pics to follow when I get home Tuesday evening.

Ok, lol last change occured tonight. We all went to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse tonight. Sandi and Chris were talking between them while I talked to chris' husband. The guy that had pick ahead of me backed out today.

I was going to have first dibs on th next litter because I planned on getting Bella a buddy. They offered me the choice of the brindles as well. Both me and my mom loved Alexis so I got her also now!!! Vid and pics to come Tuesday night.

Thanks!! I'm happy as heck. They're both sweethearts. Alexis, the brindle girl(who was officially renamed Ruby last night) is funny she thinks she's ferocious and will growl a bit if you force her to do something she doesn't want to do. Lol. Hopefully I can get that on video today when I go over there.

Congrats Jimmy! 2 puppies..your life will be very busy for awhile! I have a mutt puppy (gotta start a thread on him:)) and he keeps me so busy!

How long before you get them? I definitely have to come by and meet them :)
