Hi i seriously don`t believe the shrimp could kill the fish. It will chow on anything found in the tank dead though. you have caught him cleaning up the body and are assuming he killed the fish.The shrimp was probably trying to remove a juicy parasite attached to the new fish when you saw it...

Hi,save your money. Just keep up the water changes,and you will be better for it. Kalkwasser (limewater) is the only thing needed as far as additives go... Don`t fall for the LFS preaching how all these additives are needed. Your making them rich,and your tank is being filled with unnecessary...

Hi.Personally i would lay the sand down first.Then immerge 4 inch pvc pipe through the sand until it rests against the bottom glass panel. The pvc pipe should be high enough to just stick out from the sand and then sit the rocks on the piping.This will let you have better water flow around...

Hi. Do you do water changes? How old are your lights?These may be reasons that this film is enveloping your rocks.Water circulation, is yours adequate?Is it growing in a dead zone as far as water movement is concerned?Go back and make more observations .

After reading all of the above , my view is too much tooo soon. The LFS owner and previous owner will swoon you to believe what they want whilst your pockets are emptied.The number of fish should of been introduced over many months not weeks or days. Too great a bioload will create all these...

I agree with dgin. Ditch the fluval filter media and use it for water movement in the tank. A little more LR and your on your way.The DSB will take some time to kick in ,go easy with feeding and keep up with constant water changes .

I have CBS as well.They are in a 50 gal,never have they attacked anything in mine.They are scavengers,so they are picking up the pieces after the event. Mine live with hermit crabs and snails and many other pods,I never have i seen them attack anything. My 2 cents on this.

It could be flat worms. They are round disc shaped and they do attack morphs. Do a after dark inspection with a flash light and you will be able to see what could be the culprit. 8O

Hi. Do you have the ability to drill glass? Then drill it, not too close to the corner .This is much better than siphon box or tube. Don`t drill a second hole.This will weaken the base ,I have seen many tanks with cracks going across from one hole to the other.Water return can be brought up and...

Nothing is wrong with the tank.He has a Sander ozoniser sitting on the shelf gathering dust which he thinks he can palm off to me. The selling point was cleaner water ,raised redox,i thought i`d ask before going further .

Hi, LFS is trying to sell me a ozoniser.The selling point is that redox readings will improve etc....Is it that important?Is anyone using it and can you see the benefits? Thanx for your response.
