    Louey, I run 24/7 on my mangrove refugium , based on what i have been told .I saw this article at Kent Marine and was confused. I have posted this same question before with no response.( Thought maybe I had asked a stupid question) Don't we have any experts out there that can settle this...

    Well it was snail eggs, I watched the snail lay them and then my tang came along and ate them.thanks for all the help
  10. Is 24/7 Ok for Mangrove / Macro Refugium???

    I am new to this hobby ( 8 months). I have a 30 gal. sump that I am using mangroves and macro algaes in to reduce nitrates. I have read various threads here concerning the 24/7 light cycles to reduce chances of macros going sexual.This cycle is fine for the macro algae but doesn't the mangroves...
  11. White stringy thing on glass?

    This morning I found what looks to be string with small knots tied in it every 1/8" or so stuck to the front glass. It has a irregular pattern.It is about 6" long. The LFS told me it was a worm, but it doesn't move. Could it be some type of snail eggs.Help
