I am new to this hobby ( 8 months). I have a 30 gal. sump that I am using mangroves and macro algaes in to reduce nitrates. I have read various threads here concerning the 24/7 light cycles to reduce chances of macros going sexual.This cycle is fine for the macro algae but doesn't the mangroves require a period of dark, as in nature?
