Russ this past summer I saw 24 cents /kw, yeah it sucked.

I would kill to have 13/kw, this is why I've become a freak about
every watt that runs my tank.

I"m going to pull the actinics off, and switch to two part with a doser soon.

Got my skimmer today .Rushed home to get in my sump and working

1st I have to say Thank you to Rich ,Herman ,Daivd .Jon shaun for giving me the good word on this skimmer

2nd ,It was the easiest skimmer i ever hooked up ,Just pull out the electric wire ,insert in your sump .,puton collection cup ,and wallla it ready

3rd ,Plugged this baby in ,and guess what instant skim.i mean in a minute i had foam ,tiny bubbles NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thrash: :thrash: :thrash: :thrash:

will update at nite with more pics ,Here are a few as of now ,note ,the skimmer has been working for 3mins only Its the DAS BX 1

Jon, I'm on a fixed plan for electric. It only went up to 13 cents in January. Prior to that I was at 6.8 cents/kw/hr. So for me it basically doubled. That was a major jump.

I never owned a deltec .For now it is 100000000x better then any of the skimmer that i had ,When i opened the box the skimmer flet very sturdy and made well (solid skimmer ) for the money ,i say so far its worth it

Actually the deltec ap 600 and apf 600 don't count, unless they're on a small tank

I know exactly what you mean. My winter bills are always lower than my summer bills.
This winter, my winter bills were higher than my summer bills from last year.
I am scared $hitle$$ about this upcoming summers' bills.

I'm hoping the rates do not skyrocket again, otherwise my coral will not be growing that much this summer, all power will be diverted to the cooling systems How does two hours of MH sound and a couple of hours of skimming a day, the fish might get thin as I try to cut back on the nutrients what about fish diapers instead of skimming?

So after talking to Herman on how to adjust the skimmer,Its working better then great so far ,I had to put my hands in the tank ,Foam dropped for 3mins and back to skimming ,Hee is an update pic after 2hrs
