That picture looks unreal. Cool but unreal. How'd you end up with all that algae? Is it part of the cycle?

kris, my camera sucks so it is difficult to photograph th tank. The alage is 100% gone and all SPS have colored up a lot!!! I'll try my best to get a decent pic

Rich, I could say that my camera sucks compared to the others on the board. Still looking for forward to the pics. Color is so great. Atleast now I have some greens and i think one is turning purple with green polyps.

Chris what camera do yopu use? I am using a chamelion Largan 1.3 MP that was free when I bought my computer

What a piece of junk but I guess its better than nothing

I still can't get a good full tank shot, the photos come out white washed. I did get a decent shot of my Hoeksemi though. It has better color in person.

Nice piece. I use the Kodak LS743 4MP mine was free too. My mother boss is very generous with gifts around Christmas time.

For some reason my photos always seem to come out yellow.

make sure you set the white balance on the camera, use macro mode when taking close ups and most importantly avoid using the flash

Thanks for the tips. I'm still learning how to take it. I have to read the users manual to try to figure out how to change the settings.

Here's what the tank looks like now Most of the corals are not mine though, I am baby sitting for MSHUR while he gets a new tank. Even so it still looks cool

. The pic is only with actinics on, I can't get a clear shot with the halides on.

I read the thread on RC and heard from Kasei, his tank sprung a leak on the bottom of the tank.

MSHUR's tank started to split from the seams....a big mess!!! Kasie and I are holding all his corals (and there are a lot!!!) until he gets a replacement tank
