i was so pissed i walked out. how could you put a shark in such a small tank. and we all know that anyone with a tank big enough for it probably goes to a much better store to buy their livestock

I just called. Nick is the manager. He's not in at the moment. I told the guy who answered that there's a major problem with keeping a 2'+ shark in a 55. He asked if I've seen it. I told him I saw the pic and he said it's not a 55. I told him the pic is evidence that the tank is too small for that shark regardless of whether or not the tank was a 55 or a 220. He laughed and said call back and talk to Nick. Not only are their actions irresponsible, but so are their behaviours to customers.

Thanks for the info Jennifer. And nice to 'meet' you.

It maybe a 75gal?

Russ thats about the answer that I would expect from a worker there. It's not their responsibility and with the money they get paid, I'm sure they don't give a $hit

Why don't we just write a friendly email or call to Mr. Petland himself. He's on TV all the time associating his stores with the comfort of pets. :dead1:
I'll be more than glad to sign some sort of petition or heck, I'll write it when I get home.

think about it more, that would just kill the animals you love, and the owners would get their money.

i know your heart was in the right place though ;)

well we can precede it with a shark kidnapping team that can drop in from the air vents.

naturally, their mail would have to be forwarded, in which case we can intercept the mail, deposit the check from the insurance and donate it to an animal friendly cause (or use it to compensate all our operatives).

why am i starting to feel like a terrorist organization when all i am trying to do is help a poor little shark? :scratchch

perhaps i've been watching too much "24" :banghead:

Hey, what about contacting the New York Aquarium. I spoke to a marine biologist over the summer and said they will help stranded animals. I guess we cant say this shark is stranded persay, but that small a$$ tank is no where near ample space. I have her number somewhere in my room, and will be calling her regardless.
