My sympathy to all involved with this tragic mess. It is really unbelievable how cowardly this attack is.

I heard about this tragedy during while studying, i nearly couldn't believe it.

While watching the news on tv the Iraq sattelite news was shown, were this tragedy was the 8th (!) issue, Saddam said that 'it was made clear that evil leads to evil'... I really don't have a clue who is behind all this, but I really hope the country/organisation behind this will be found and be punished the right way...

May god bless all of you, and may Bush make the right decisions.

Really difficult to make my thoughts clear as my English is quite bad, but I really want to say my thoughts are with you..

It is really easy to hijack a airplane. I think if some group can put five trained men on a plane, they can easy overpower the crew and take a plane without gun or exlposive. If one of the men is pilot, they can send the plane anywhere they wanted.
This just my opinion. I think this mus happened today. I cannot believe that fout differnt group of people got weapons on planes at about the same time in the US today.
This is a sad day for all of us.

Here is a thought. Tom clancy wrote a book where a pilot was an arab. the plane crashed. It was not hijacked. The PILOT crashed the plane.

I sit here in my Brooklyn apartment watching CNN. Glad I was in Central Park when it happened. -who would attack a park?

...A third tower just collapsed, adjacent to the twin towers, about 45 stories tall, WTC building number 7.

Mouse,
Please get facts straight, especially in emotionally charged times like this. The Taliban in Afghanistan are the ones making non-muslim natives wear yellow sashes, supposedly for their own protection
icon_rolleyes.gif
. The Palestinians have nothing to do with Afghanistan. The Palestinians are those people whose homeland is constantly invaded by the Isrealis, and whose police are targeted by a neighboring nation for retribution executions, just to name a few facts.

Al of us over here in the UK have watched the TV news and the horrific devastation that has been visited on your country. Our sympathy and good wishes go out to all those who are bereaved and I hope that the perpetrators of this crime and those behind them are identified and punished by whatever means that it takes.

I think any comment like "the Palestinians deserve to die, each and every one of them" has no place in a civilized discussion. Attitudes like that are exactly what motivate people to hijack airliners and crash them into buildings. If you honestly feel that way (especially not even having your facts straight) then you are no better than whoever committed this atrocity. I'm sure you're just acting out on a lot of anger but you we all have to try to control our emotions in times like this.

My prayers and deepest sympathies goes out to the families of those who were involved in the bombing. I go to Medical School in Newark and from the parking lot I could see the aftermath. Smoke everywhere and chaos as ambulances and police rushed to help out. For those of you in the NJ/NY area they are asking for you to donate blood as there will be a great demand that needs to be met. Hopefully I will be going back to school tonight to join my father and see if I can help with some of the casualties. It was an act against humanity and life in general, committed by an utter coward.

As for you mouse and your completely idiotic statement “The Palestinians are scum, they deserve to die, each and every one of them.â€

Thank you Bob and your country for your sympathy. I got the news while I was in the funeral home, not too far away from burying my 3 month old child. That was and still is hard. My deepest sympathy goes to all that will have to go through the same thing.

People, please, lets stop the arguing, it may have been an emotional statement that was incorrect, but haven't we had enough for one day, lets keep some peace and just say a prayer for all.

Coincidentally, my son's name was Tre, which means 3, who was my 3rd child, only 3 months old, about to be buried while 3 targets got hit. This day will always be remembered as Tre Day to me. (Taking a deep breath)

I agree that we cannot blame the Palestinians for this. But we can turn Kabul into a glassy desert. And proceed to methodically destroy EACH and EVERY organization, be they private or governmental, that undertake, support or allow terrorism within their sphere of control.

I do not say this lightly, I am a former Ballistic Missile submariner and worked several years with strategic systems. And the whole point of such equipment were to affect the mindset and actions of others in order to protect our citizens in advance of such a tragedy as has occurred today.

Explosions and fires in Kabul Afghanistan are "reportedly" NOT part of a US attack...

I don't think killing innocent people anywhere, be it the US, Kabul, Palestine, Israel is the way to go. Whomever is responsible for this should suffer and so should the people who are part of his organization, not the innocent people in his country. If we commit acts of TERRORISM against other people then we are no better than the terrorsits who attack us!!!!

Nobody in Afghanistan is innocent. They allow a government to exist that supports terrorist. Often innocent people must die to prove the creditability of our military might as a deterrent.

Rest assured you would not be here today if it were not for our resolve to kill hundreds of millions of innocent people.

I woke to the news this morning in Sydney...it is absolutely unbelievable that your country could be attacked in this way. The headline said "America Under Attack" and the scenes from New York at first made me think it couldn't be real..a hoax or from a film shoot or something. The Australian Prime Minister was in Washington and he said that one of the planes was a connecting flight from the East coast for a Qantas international flight from the West coast so we await news on our citizens probably lost.

I'm shocked and horified that your great country, a good friend of ours, has been dealt this blow. I hope that the perpetrators are found and dealt with...and soon. My sympathies are with all of you.

My heartfelt sympathies to the U.S. and it's people.
What a horrible act of violence. My worksite today came to a standstill each time the news was updated, and I was heartened by the anger and bloodlust . Normally that's not me at all, but this is the most cowardly act I have ever heard of. I hope it was Bin Laden, and I hope you guys blow up him and ANY other terrorists you come across!
Our airports country wide are full of International flights headed to the U.S., and the news is full of Canadian homes opening up to accomadate them. All of our talk radio shows were talking about nothing but this, and our blood banks are full with new donors, as soon as the U.S. requests blood.

Take care,
Mitch

Americans usually rally to the President in disasterous times.
Also folks should be careful with accusations. I remember back during the Oklahoma City bombing I thought for sure it was due to Islamic Jihad. I was very mistaken.
Could be homegrown nut jobs.
Whoever it was; it was an act of war.
