master and slave would be enough. unless you really want to go an extra mile and have 3 units. but i would suggest to stick with 2.

I'm putting together a 120 g (48x24x24) reef tank. Is a 120W Paython master unit and 120w slave unit sufficient for this size or do a need a second slave?

So for a 72" 125g tank I would need one master and two slave 120w units to ~ 400w MH lighting?
Is there a hanging kit that comes with each unit, or how do you suspend them over the tank?
What is the recommened height above the tank for these units?
Is there a rail system available to attach the units together, or does each unit need to be suspended individually?
Just trying to decide whether or not to order this unit on Monday, or go with another LED unit like the Maxspect.
TIA.

I can ask but I highly doubt anyone from Pacific Sun would release this or what bin #s they use. I wouldnt if I were them - in this cut throat business and their tanks being so successful - why? let othe people test their tanks on other led units and fail.

It is like calling Heinz and asking them for the receipe of the ketchup. Would Heinz tell how they do it?

Are they Cree LED's?

Didn't ask for model/part numbers not to mention other manufacturers proudly proclaim they use Cree right in their advertising. Cree has a reputation for making quality LED's and I believe people here including myself would like to know the quality of the components going into the product they are buying especially when there are very few places to actually see these lighting systems in action in different size tanks. Unfortunately this is what kept me on the sidelines this time around, I can't and won't spend several grand on lighting I can't see in action.

As I said above - it is not my call to release or not to realease this information. If I was the producer - I wouldnt for obvious reasons --- this is cut throat business where solutions to problems are worth a lot $$$.

I think their gadets such as wireless connection, LCD display for BP or touchable LCD display for Deimos or Phobos, full controllability from seasons of the year, time of the day, PAR tables, intensity light and moonlight, moon cycle, T5 supplementation for Phobos and Deimos, UV led for all units for SPS - speak volume that they went above and beyond what is competition offering right now.

There are people who have the units from the first group buy and will be new ones from the second. I have never refused anyone to stop by to see it at my house. some LFS have 1-2 units on their display tanks also.

but above all - these lamps where design by people who are in the hobby for people in the hobby. Przemek is a long time store owner - one of the biggest stores in Poland in the hobby for over 15yrs. Leszek (Azazel on MR or Loccocus on RC) has succesfully designed freshwater and saltwater controllers - just ask him. he stops by on MR from time to time to help me to answer some of the technical questions. at the end of the day - it is up to you if you want to buy or not.

I'm not by any means bashing the unit or the dedication of the people who designed it and feel it is an excellent piece of equipment. Solos2 asked in his post if they used cree LED's and you just answered his post as if he didn't ask at all, If you would of answered the entire post I wouldn't of asked and would of been satisfied with your answer.

I can ask Przemek or Leszek, but I doubt they will release this information due to nature of this business. This is as much as I can do - I can ask.
