Software is back compatible with all older versions of PS lamps. Newest units with bootloader function may be updated by user, units with no bootloader function must be returned for reprogramming. After this, every user will be able to update his unit by yourself, when a new software is available. Few more screenshots...

Lamps with bootloader function are equipped with an LCD screen. After turning it on, "Loader active..." message is displayed.

All other lamps must be reprogrammed to get this function.

Any updates in US will be provided by Felix/Rafal, any updates in Europe - please contact [email protected], but please wait for approx 2 weeks - we must do more tests before we'll publish the software.

Led's used in Pacific Sun Led's Lights

I see some of you are asking what Led's are used in these units. I have an answer. Bridgelux. They have great Led's. Visit them online. www.bridgelux.com. Infact they are in Litigation with Cree because they are using the same copyright technology that Cree is using. Basicly they are 100% Equal.

Didn't I ? I am sorry.

I am pretty sure, that I described the procedure how to turn off the fans on MR, but if not, here is the solution:

To turn off fans, set its speed to "0", and set Normal temp to 39-40*C and maximum Temp to 42-43*C.

Fans should not work, untill temperature of led matrix exceed value you've set as "normal temp". Then, they will spin at maximum speed.

If you've set Fans Speed to '0' and Fans are still working - it means the LED matrix temperature is to high (higher than 'normal temp') OR thermal sensor is damaged or unconnected, OR transistor driving Fans is damaged.

With next version of software, fans will adapt to current temperature and set its speed automatic.

I?ve done that and the fans does not respond to any settings at all......we?re talking about 2 units here....how likely is it that both units are damaged?
Any suggestions what to do?

They in both lamps are always spinning at the same speed mo matter what settings are written? It is really abnormal - I think thermal sensors or drivers may be damaged. In that case fans will always work at maximum speed.

We'll continue this thread at prv. Please contact me - [email protected]

I just want to say thanks for all the previous posts. They have contained a lot of good information.
I have ordered 2 120 watt BT EX Pythons. (Master and slave unit) I ordered these on a prelaunch sale from Aloha Tropics NY.
Felix has been of great help, even answering his phone on a Sunday.
I have been impatiently waiting for these fixtures to get in for about a month now. I just cant wait to get my hands on these new lights. I am hoping to finally get rid of my metal halides and my 1/3 hp chiller for my 75gal. tank and not give Progress Energy so much of my paycheck each month.
I purchased a black oak canopy top for my tank. (Matches my stand.) It is 6 inches tall. The whole top acts as a lid. I intend to cut two holes in the top slightly smaller than each module. I will then set each module on top of the canopy directly above the holes. I then intend to staple and glue some 1" X 1" boards also stained black around each fixture to help hold the units in place. Finally I will put a couple of some kind of black bungee cords across each unit to hold them in place for when I lift the lid. I think this will give the appearance of each module being built into the canopy top.
Any ideal's or additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
And Felix,...anything you could do to get these great units into my hands any faster would likely save an old mans life, as I am about to have a heart attack waiting on these lights.
The Pics I have seen of everyone's tanks thus far are spectacular.
Again, thanks to everyone for all the great information.

Will the new units, that contain an LCD display, have the ability to control all the functions discussed via the onboard computer or will you still need to accomplish this via bluetooth/PC/Laptop connectivity? If not, then will you be able to control at least some functions IE: sunrise/sunset, LED color spectrum & intensity, Moonlight settings, including time on/off and intensity? It would be a nice feature to have the ability to control the lights from the fixture itself.

Phobos/Deimos - touchable LCD screen and you can control from the fixture as well as PC. BP only display LCD so control via PC.

all lamps can be contolled via cell phone application - phones that run on windows.
