What would happen to to the slave units should the master be unavailable?

I know I saw this question before but did not see an answer; anyone running these on 30" tanks or have PAR readings for 30"?

ok - I spoke with Azazel and he informed me that slave unit follows master. so if you disconnect slave unit from master it becomes on and off machine via power cord. so you need master unit to run your lights.

sorry for confusion and wrong information that I posted earlier.

as far as 30" - i was promised to see an updated PAR video this week on YouTube than you can answer your question based on video.

With this button you may switch off the built in computer, and turn the light permanently on with 100% of Power. To restore computer operation you must press the button again and HOLD it for minimum 10 seconds. Lamp will restart and work at normal mode.

Guys, you are talking of master and slave units, are these different units? There is no mention of master and slave on the Euro Pac sun website just the BT EX 120w "Black Python" and the 120w "Black Python", is this second one a slave if connected to a BT EX? It's a little confusing

I'm just about to order my first marine tank, 72x28x28 do you think the 120w modules will be ok for that depth and width? I'm thinking of getting 3 that is why I ask about master/slave.

Raflal mentioned earlier an updated video with PAR readings for a 30" were on the way but based on the comments about algae on the glass with the 120 lenses the 28 wide should be OK.

Thanks Joe, the euro website isn't very well explained as to what the lights can or can't do when connected to each other.

I don't think that they have the BT EX Slave units on the website. The one that Joe linked for you looks like it is the Non-Controllable unit.

DKChris, for a 72" (like mine) I'd go with 1x BT-EX 120W master and 2x BT-EX 120W slave, or a 60" 140W Diemos (like I have ordered).

The BT-EX models have bluetooth connectivity and the lights can be programmed, while, as far as I know, the ones without that designation are simply on/off. Referencing this text from the Aquariumled site:

[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Each lamp series BT-EX has a special built-in dedicated computer(Ligth Area Computer) can support advanced light.Lamp is programmed wirelessly using a special application(via BlueTooth interface)[/FONT][FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]. This model have external, waterproof power supply with safe, 24V DC output.[/FONT]

This model have build in additional LCD screen for showing important informations about lamp settings: total power, actinic chanel power, daylight power, moonlight power, core temperature, date&time, status - auto or manual override.

I got this today from Leszek and the PAR table screen will look as below. but they added an extra item = ability to control both white and blue leds. Therefore, you can set the lamp to be on 12k during the day, but than when you come home from work, you may select to 18k or 22k for your viewing pleasure. The PAR table will have 40 points.

Leszek - what about randon thunderstorms? can you do that? someone emailed me today about randon thunderstorm function - something similar to what solaris has.

yes, it will work on BT EX Pythons after the firmware update - we will talk about it later on how it will be done.
