still nothing ...checked my test kit on my 90 upstairs and it has a slight reading...so test kits are fine....the tank might just be ready to go....will see what this week brings ...then the fun part begin's.....

well it turns out that my tank did cycle....all the brown bloom has disapeared and i put some coral and fish from my 90 gallon in there today....i will try to keep posting pics...my cousin pete takes the pics for me and he is buisy with a 20 page paper for marine biology right now so will see what i can do.....thank you all for looking .....

BREEF240 take it slow putting coral in there, theres no rush if you waited this long
I see to many people rush the cycle and to find out all there coral is dead

the corals are nothing big ...its mushrooms and some polyps...starter stuff...i lost all of my nice stuff when i broke down the 240 gallon.....this is just the stuff that survived the break down and is in my 90 gallon upstairs in my house....thank for the advice jarrett....im definitly not in any rush...want to take my time with this one....will get some pics soon.....and just so everyone knows my name is brian and my brothers name is derek...have to have a meet and greet next summer so i can meet all of you guys....thank you again for all your help ...im always here to help and listen ...thats why i joined mr....thanks

we decided last night that we want to get rid of the 12x39 watt t5's and we will be upgrading the lights to 2x400w metal halides and 4x95w vho super actinic's ....so instead of the 468w from the t5's we will have 1180w....we were going to do 6x72"vho's but that would be a little nuts...that would be 1440w....yea .......ok.....lol....once again ..sorry no pics yet ....maybe tomarrow....

i'm an old school mh/vho combo guy myself. 2x400w 20 xm's, 2x110w uvl superactinic vho's, + 36 watts 430nm leds......1056w over a 48x36x27 ~200 gal. you think i have enough lights??????.lol.....
