Pick up a couple uncooked JUMBO shrimp at your local fish market, put them in a filter, put in tank the sit back and call it a day. The fishless cycle is wonderful thing.

or just drop a cube of frozen food or some flakes it all does the same thig, really isnt going to speed up the cycle though, can just as well take a rock from well established system to add all the bacteria needed

brian, if you want some established rock lmk. i'm like 20 min. away. my rocks are ~5 yrs old. no nasty pests....but i do have a few asterina stars though..... but they never really been any problems for me.

thanks guys....i filled the sump up with live rock this afternoon and put some shrimp in the filter socks....this is why i love this site....everyone is always willing to help out and there not always looking for something in return....thanks guys....i mean it....
