I was just playin' with ya. Going from 75 to 220 is a major $$$ step up. Additional lighting, bigger skimmer, larger sump/fuge. Bigger electric bill. Forget about stocking it. LR alone can break the bank. You'd need about 300 - 350 lbs of LR alone.

Settle into this one for a week or two :thrash:  then start planning the monster.

Looking good Tony.....how come you made the canopy so high? You halides are gonna be far far far from the water :(. When its all said and done see if you can get your halide down to 8-10inches from the water.

Kris, just because the hood is 18" tall doesn't mean the MH's will be that high. Tony's father might have done that for air circulation around the MH's and cooling. Just a guess since I don't know. But it wouldn't be a bad idea, since the lights can be hung at any level within the hood and they'll still be hidden.

russ no's his stuff... yea thats wat me and the pops are doing. were adding the 2 - 3 fans on the top pushing air out.. and 1 on each side for pushing air in.. im not gonna have the halides hang cause it will be another worry on my head but what im gonna do is put a 2X4 horizontally on the sides and one in the middle and then run a sheet of wood to fit the reflectors on it so i can screw in all the holes. i like that idea better then hanging em... thanks guys.. any other suggestions..
