the T12's are going to be replaced with super actnic vho's soon.. but no at the moment.. this is how the hood is going to be laid out... i think this will work out nicely...

the t12's are going to be all the way up top there only gonna be used for sunrise/sunset effect. 2-3 hours before halides come on. and 2-3 hourse after the halides shut off...

as of right now i built a fixture to hold up the halides until the canopy is ready.. i am acclimating the tank to the lights so far for the 1st day the lights were on for 30 min. 2nd day the lights were on for about an hour.. the same will be for tom...

then ill kick it up to 2 then 3 hours and so on.. what do u guys think of the canopy... again the t 12's both are just actnic for the effects thats all.. and they will be replaced with super actnic vhos...

Tony, poor placement of the actinics bro. The top of the MH support will block all the light. The little bit that gets through will be negligable. Sorry to break that to you.

Move them down to the same level as the MH's

thanks sean.. i dont think im officially done aquascaping yet im def. gonna add some more rock at least behind that to make it come foward more.. for the most part i dont really mind the white pvc there.. what i could do is glue pieces of rubble rock to it and then use that as a very high lighting area for special sps... just a thought..

Tony, looking real sharp my friend. I'm psyched to see the hood up there. Instead of gluing LR to the PVC, glue a few different types of zoo's to it. They'll spread and be various colors. It'll look great. Won't take long to totally cover it either.
