An update and some fish additions:

Oh so cute and so angry all the time, I'm planning to get a few more and hope that they'll be as established as this one. It's eating live baby brine and Cyclop-Eeze, but only from the water column.

I'm super excited that these are getting along in the shallow. Didn't get them as a pair, but they get along quite nicely.

beautiful tank, beautiful everything, one day i would love to have a tank this amazing.

one question. you keep the garden eel in that tank? how deep is your sand bed, im interesting to see how healthy he turns out to be, ive wanted one for so long, just heard some things like needing a 1 ft sand bed so i got turned off.... lol

The eel is in my 30g XH planted tank with about 6" of fine sand. It's part of the same system as the shallow, which has no sand. I was very worry about its jumping out, but since it likes to stay in the sand, I'm feel a little safer. I only have had it for a couple of months, only time will tell how it'll do, but it's eating well and out often.
