Rich, i am not sure if it's creeping or not, i don't have algea other than the one on the glass. Those test kits suck anyways. But it's probably a good idea to use it as a sponge before it even starts.

Scarf, i am getting the simple B-ionic doser made my ESV themselves. I am getting the bigger one with the 2 1gal reservoir. That will allow me to go longer and i can get the concentrated version. It's $27 which looks like it should last me about 2 months or so. It's a small price to pay, so i am not concerned. I love b-ionic.

scarf,

It works by pressure. The timer turns the air pump on and that forces the b-ionic out, so long as the pump is on the metering cup stays empty. When the pump turns off, the b-ionic fills the metering cup to the desired level for the next days dose.

It doesn't come with a pump. You need to make sure they are pressure rated. The corallife luft pump is a good choice.

I will be using my aquacontroller to determine the time to dose. I want to dose the 2 parts at different time so that there's no precipitation in the area.

Another small update.

Today i cleaned out the sump and removed the spraybar. Added the sock. Went to Fishtown and picked up some Kaelini live rock. Just 12 pounds. I personally think it looks great. This is the best way because i can pick and choose shapes. They are supposed to be for the sump, but after seeing the color and shape, i am going to implement them on the main display. I have to come up with a way that keeps to the main theme of the tank. I might try to drill these and come up with something cool.

What you guys think of this rock?

The rocks look good Pedro. They have good life on them; I dig the red coralline. However, it's hard to give an honest opinion cause I don't know their actual size and quite frankly, can't really judge until you incorporate them in your design. Hope it turns out well and give us a FTS when you do add them in. :)

I wonder what happened to the new rocks. They had nice color when i got them. Maybe it was the halides that bleached them. They were in a dark tank when i got them. It's ok they'll be purple soon. Here's the tank where it stands today.

Going to work on a floating rock on the top left corner to give it a 3d look.

This is my favorite fish. It's my first ever saltwater fish. He's still kicking after 6+ years. I love the little dude.

Finally starting to add some corals.

Thanks to Slama (Mike) for his generosity, also sorry the Jets lost, we'll be back next year!

This is a Green cap the same as Jim's!

The brain i got from ronen.

Looking forward to stocking up, i have kind of changed course and will be making it a reef again. It will be mixed though, with a little bit of everything.

how much was that rock at fishtown? i haven't been there in awhile, but last time i was there they had rock for $4/lb, but it didn't look very good... that rock that you got looks way better - did it cost more?

that brain shot is awesome man.
can you tell us again what your shooting with, some canon body right?

Canon? Is that what i heard? You shoot with a canon? :scratchch

The rock was in fact $3.99 a pound. The thing is that you can't really see how it looks there since they have a cheap ass light on top. Also if you get it when it comes in it will look better. Although it looked that nice when i bought it, it doesn't look as nice now. I don't know if the halides bleached them, but they turned white in the main display. In the sump they still looked good. I'm still going to add more rock to the sump for filtration purposes.

Thx T, the tank still looks so barren, i need to start stocking up. But i am doing things the right way and adding them in stages. So far i am happy with the way it has turned out, it was well worth the effort. I'll get a recent FTS tomorrow. Now i just need to locate a few colored sticks as you call them.
