The problem actually isn't a problem. The piece has grown about 1/8" over the past 2 weeks. And i never had redbugs on any other SPS besides my two bonsai pieces and another acro. And those pieces always grew fine with good polyp extension. Would be nice to nuke the tank with a pill but i don;t see a real need to right now and cause more problems with other things.

absolutely gorgeous. about the cucumbers the toxins are only released when they die so as soon as you notice that they have died you have to remove them from the tank, even if they look sick they say they can still release the toxins

depends what you shooting both r great! I choose IS coz I like to shoot nature & ambient lights and portrait shots. it's pain in the butt to carry the tripod around. I've great result with the 50mm for tank shots too depends how close you want.

Yeah, I will be playing with it tonight. I also picked up the Tamron 18-270mm for an all purpose lens.

With those shots of the mushrooms, you did that with a tripod right?

cool...I've no experience with the Tamron. I own a canon so everything will be canon:sgrin:

yes Tripod manual focus, f/14 with 1sec shutter and ISO100. and if u want more color change your camera color setting to Adobe RGB most camera are default to S-RGB or u can assign & embed the "Adobe RGB" color profile in photoshop.

This was just taken with my Canon G9 . AV mode, Auto everything. I need someone to teach me how to use this camera for my tank because although this photo came out nice, that is just luck. The FTS arn't as nice at all.
Can anyone tell me what type of Zoa this is (not the eagle eyes)? It is more pink in the center than it looks in the picture.
