Ok note to self- I will never ask the question where everybody gets their gas after the next oil company catastrophe (the sad part is this will happen again in our waters OR the waters of another nation)

I don't understand how because fishermen are suffering down south we have to add to the suffering by making these franchise owners the same way? It's a ridiculous answer to the problem. If you focus on the key points if my posts ultimately this boycott doesn't accomplish anything productive except hurting the business people first and then slightly biting BP second. What I don't understand how you can sacrifice a group of people and still think your doing the noble thing. When you lost your job in the financial markets, was the solution to make doctors poor by taking their money and giving it to the bankers? No, you had to let the system work and figure out a solution. Which is what we should be doing here. Not empowering ourselves to damage another group to hurt BP a little.

And I'm not sure how your reading into my analogies. The whole rabbit and dog thing was simply about sticking to principle. It ha nothing to do with food or mans best friend. I was responding to comparing a suicide bomber to this boycott. Both methods are trying to reach your goal or prove your point in disregard to damage caused by your methods. If your mad about a group of people losing their jobs and livelihood down south, how can you possibly justify that your helping them and doing the right thing by putting another group of innocents in the same position. I'm done with my points. I simply think this boycott is preposterous because your simply adding to the amount of people hurt by this tragedy instead if finding a uselfull solution.
