here is a nice little article i figure i would share involving the iphone and the htc incredible...

I disagree with here gripe about not being able to use the music she bought from iTunes, and that's Apple's monopolistic problem. I actually find it incredibly relieving that I can get my music from anywhere I want and not need to feed the Apple abomination anymore than it deserves.

What is the screen size compared to the storm screen size?

chief its pretty close in size. im not sure if the storm and storm2 are the same size, pretty sure there the same though... but the storm is 480 x 360 resolution 3.2" display and the HTC incredible is a 480 x 800 resolution 3.7" OLED display.

The battery life on the incredible.. is not exactly incredible, but it is quite good.

I had the Palm Pre Plus before.. and that phone would last me from 8am - 3pm, with very light usage.

Light usage = 3 text messages sent, and Manhattan reefs browsed for about 10 minutes between classes.

The HTC Incredible lasts me from 8am till about 7-8pm, with no intermittent charging.

However the usage on the Incredible consisted of a nice slew of about 20-30 text message sent back and forth. Manhattan Reefs + other misc. websites browsed for about 30 minutes on a lunch break. Not to mention downloading about 3 apps, and playing a game or two for 15 minutes.

There is also a 3rd party battery made by Seidio I believe which has a higher capacity but is still exactly the same dimensions as the stock battery, so no extended battery cover is needed to accommodate the new battery. This larger battery has about 30% more capacity.

Well................ I shattered my Storm 2 Screen yesterday. LCD is bleeding, Phone cycles on and off, it was a great day until that happened. Going up to the store. Might have to buy a phone because this one has no insurance. May look at the incredible and see if that is an option.

Ok now the dilemma. Wait for the droid X or go with the Droid incredible?

Personally.. I think the Droid X is a bit ugly.. are looks important.. not to everyone obviously.

Um.. 4.2 inches for a cell phone.. is it really necessary? On top of that, it is a regular LCD display which consumes more energy then the OLEDs that the Incredible uses, and it has a slightly crappier resolution, even though its a larger screen.

Plus.. its Motorola. They don't have the same build quality as HTC does. Of course this all imo.. but from my experience in the past, thats basically where I speak from.

Only thing that I will give props to motorola on is the nice multitouch keyboard.

Ex. holding down Shift, as you would on a physical computer keyboard and pressing another key to capitalize, rather than pressing shift , letting go and then pressing the letter key that you want capitalized. Is it really a huge thing? Not really.. but its a cool feature. Plus sometimes if you type too fast and you don't let go of one of the keys and press another, it won't register. However I type pretty damn fast on the incredible and never had a problem with the stock keyboard. But just the ability to go and download a keyboard or an app that was designed for another phone like the Droid X or another Android phone is pretty cool.

Lol.. kinda off topic sorta.. but anyway. I definitely recommend the HTC Incredible, you will not be disappointed, and you always have 30 days to change your mind and switch to Droid X.

i agree with everything staan said, except the screen size is actually 4.4 inch. thats .1 inches BIGGER then then HD2 and EVO. those 2 phones are stupid big, the drid x is EVEN BIGGER. it will be the largest phone being made on the market today for screen size...

if its not an HTC, its not worth it...or it will break...

Got it from a 3rd party vendor today. Nice phone. I really like the features. When it comes to screen size I like a larger screen for movies and videos and internet. The phone seems very cool. I have 14 days to figure out if I do in fact like it not 30 because I went with a 3rd party vendor. On the bright side the tech looked over my storm 2 and said the screen was just cracked and all the other parts were fine. Well all except the batter cover LOL. Anyway, I have to ebay an S2 and a S1 cheap now LOL.
