it was on 101.5 all day talking abt it.. 33 states actually dont have vehicle inspection.. its almost usless now bc emissions cant be adjusted on cars.. its basically as long as the computer is functioning propperly the emissions are what they are.. that y they only plug into the ALDL and check the ready status of the on board diagnostic controller.. thats y if you erase the codes and turn off the light before you go you will fail for a NOT READY status... i hope it goes away.. unfotunatly that means the inspectors will all be out of a job and that sucks bc none of them are real mechanics(well most anyway)but it means nj will save 12mil but itll be faught on all levels on municipalitoes bc the cops wont be able to ticket for the expired sticker or the other lil thinkgs they can get away with bc of the state insp. so well see what happens in the next couple weeks but hte plan is for july 1st

well my g pa finally may have made his decision. looks like a new srt is going to be in the near future. funny thing though. he actually saw an add on that new mustand coming out and he actually that it was pretty cool. even though its only a v6, he loved the fact that he had a little over 300 horse and over 30 mpg. maybe he was actually thinking practical? haha. i dont know. i dont know when there coming out yet. but he drove the srt, that nice orange one with black leather and loved it. had everything. power, looks, aggressive sound ( only because he drove a used with borla exhaust) and in the price range. hope i gets it soon, cant wait test drive it myself! lol

Lol I'm actually going in the opposite way, from small to bigger lol. I'm STILL trying to sell my 2005 Mitsubishi evo. I've just been soooooo undecided between what to get! All I got so far is a need an suv.

What I'm looking for...
Suv. Price range $1-18,000. Mileage under 65000. Need a hitch for trailer.

2005-2009 used grand cherokee. Cheap, very reliable, nice size, nice looking, decent on gas, the hemi limited model is very nice and the best model on gas. always had my eye on them and liked them. This was the first suv I wanted.

2011 new Mitsubishi outlander sport. I love these. Starting at only 16000 new. Great on gas, looks very aggressive, great motor (same as my cars lol), and I don't know...I just love it for some reason. The front body is so aggressive/sporty. Only two downfalls. Might be a little TOO small. And no hitch. I don't know if a hitch could later be installed, but I was planning on getting an suv also to pull my quad on my trailer.

2008-2010 ford explorer. I can get these dirt cheap, any model, because like most know my girlfriends grand parents own Leo Kaytes ford Warwick NY. They are nice. I do like them. Larger of the two others I like, which is nice. Good motor. Reliable. All around good suv. Gas milage is not too good but still, if the price is right... Downfall.... I already owned a 2008 ford explorer sport trac. Same interior, same driving experience. Honestly I should have NEVER gotten rid of my sport trac that I purchased new, but my inner heart missed and wanted a sport car so I traded it in for my evo.

Anyone else have any opinions? I'm not getting a pick up truck. I don't feel like dealing with the giant as tank and fuel tank. And I don't want something THAT big. I can use my mothers new tundra anytime I need a truck for some reason. Although I would get a diesel, cummins, but not my price range.

Personally.. I'm just glad I didn't end up buying anything. about 2 months ago I got a HUGE paycut at work and it's been nice not having a car payment since August. Granted, it's still not a great car, and I've had it since 2005 and would love something nicer.. I just don't want to pull the trigger right now.

Completely agree man. If I did not owe money still on the evo, I would say screw it and keep it just to save some money. But I still owe a lot and payments are a lot so... It needs to go and get something cheaper and lower payments. Getting ready soon to settle down with the girlfriend since I graduate college in a month. Time to make some sacrifices and my wonderful car is getting the big boot sadly...

That was my first baby. 03 Acura CL-Type S, did some tasteful mods and actually ran a 13.96 @ 101.12 at that shitty track out east when it was still open. Back in 03 she was rather quick for her day. I actually had it dynoed at 247RWHP with just an intake, mufflers and headers. Funny how back then i thought that car was the fastest thing around now i have double the HP and my shelby seems slow to me. Those are 18" Volk's (back when 18's were considered big) with 245's on it (back when 245's were also considered big). I used to beat up on Mustang GT's all the time with that car....until the 03 Cobra came out..
I've graduated since then with many projects and vehicles in between including Sti, various mustangs and VW's and motorcycles (Ducati, 2 MV Agusta's).

I had an 06 Z06 with intake and exhaust which i hit 186MPH in....thats a little fast...

and now my current car is an 07 Shelby with 522RWHP.

Its always for sale by the way if anyone is interested. Its got full suspension, exhaust, intake, pulley, tuned by realspeed auto in bohemia, couple of other cosmetics.

Right now Im driving my 04 Audi S4, V8 with non res exhaust and snub mount. Great car just a little high strung I think. 80 on the highway equates to 3200 rpm which i think is way too high for a v8. Id like to sell it and pick up an E39 M5. I also have a 97 Audi A4 1.8 for my daily driver and beater.

Was in a curve at about 130kph and downshifted from 5th to 4th to pass. Car went into 2nd instead. It's a known issue and there were several class action lawsuits in the late 90s. The tranny sways and if you shift in a curve, it sometimes goes into the wrong gear. Aftermarket rsm is the fix. Too bad I learned after the fact. I just replaced the whole engine.
