I might be getting a new car soon. ..but I'm not sure really what car I want.. and am looking for some general suggestions.

My wedding is fast approaching, :D and that leaves two points that I must consider.

1.) I want this to be a "fun, selfish" purchase as the next car I buy (hopefully around 5 years from now) will have to "plan for kids" (and by that, I don't mean 'minivan;' but rather something with 4 doors, ample space, and multiple air bags). Essentially, this will be the last car that I get (while only thinking of myself) until I'm in my 40's or 50's. lol..

2.) Also regarding the above, I have to keep this on a budget. It really can't be too expensive (looking to keep the price under 20K, and I'll consider low mileage used cars)

Thanks for the help.

if you decide on a honda, nissan, toyota, subaru, hyundia, chevy or acura lmk the dealership i work for the owner owns all these lines andi can get you a good deal, you need to look at what you want from a car, how long you plan to keep it, what you will use it for, 2 door 4 door, 4 wheel drive ect then lmk

that's a lot of cars :) Thanks for the heads up, and I'll definitely contact you when it comes to that.

In terms of the above questions: I'm actually not really sure. At this stage I'm very open for suggestions. I know I don't want a Toyota, Hyundai, or Chevy at this point. (Even though I drive a Chevy now)..... Also, I don't care if it's 2wd or all wheel; but it can't be RWD. We do live in the North East, and RWD + Snow is not a good combination.

The only thing that's certain is it has to be FUN to drive and as inexpensive as practical.

Thanks for the help guys. I think a Fusion will be a great car at that 5 year from now mark.

I'm looking for something a bit more fun/sporty looking right now.

An Audi S4 what else? I picked my 2004 up with 45k, for 21k and that was 18 months ago, theyre probably much cheaper now. Classy, powerful, understated IMO. I waited for a while for the right color combo dark blue/light silver(more white) Downsides are fuel mileage. Not really helping the fishies with this one lol. Also they can be expensive to maintain (brakes, suspension, 10 quarts oil etc) if youre not a DIY'er type guy. I work on them for a living if youd want me to look one over with you.

Those (Audi A4) are definitely nice cars, but at that price point, (21K) it would need to have close to zero miles on it.

I put about 18,000-20,000 miles per year on my car.

Unless you're buying a car thru a dealer AND getting a 100K warranty, there is NO WAY, I would ever recommend a german car...repairs cost a fortune!

Go for a 2006 Lincoln LS, They have small V8's 3.9liter and get about 24mpg. 280 horespower and will smoke stock mustangs. They are rear wheel drive but mine isn't to bad in the snow. And as for a fun sporty car non rear wheel go look at the mitsubishi lancer evo edition. Not sure what you would get for 20grand though from those cars. They are AWD though and very quick

E. I would reccomend an LX series Mopar. Charger, 300, Magnum, 6.1 hemi. 425hp. 425tq. Balllllls all day. Handles good. Cheap to fix. You can get one used for 15-20 Esp. out of state. If you want AWD get the cherokee SRT.
Whatever you do. BUY AMERICAN PLEASE.
