I Hate Macs..... But

I am a PC guy. I really hate macs. But my wife is a computer teacher and her lab will be going to Macs soon. YUCK! So what did I do as a good husband.... I bought her a Power Book for Xmas. I am such a sucker. I better at least get a god present Xmas Night LOL!! Anyway to you Mac users out there, is there any software that is worth getting for her?? I already put on Office 2004, I am getting Adobe Suite for her.

Any recommendations!????

I love mac!!!! I will never use a pc again, you should get her parrallels and windows so it can be a pc too if you hate macs so much, and you want to use her laptop sometime! I am assuming it is brand new....with the intel processor.

Just remember the proper placement for a mac is a 45 degree angle against the door far side from the hinges to keep the door open properly. To keep the papers from flying off the desk.............Place firmly on the item covering at least 33% of the paper. If you are at a lake river or the beach they make great skipping stones.

Macs are by far the most annoying, and mind numbingly ass backwards machines on the planet. I get more work accomplished writing with chalk sticks on my living room throw rug.

I cant agree more. It really killed me going in the store and buying it. I really dont understand why people pay these ridiculous prices. YES I DID. But i "sorta" have a reason for it. I am a dumbass, but sometimes have to be to keep the wifey happy. I spend TONS of money on my tank and camera.... so its a fair trade off.

The way that I look at it, that unless you are in the field of Graphic Design, or video editing, or Education (where teh school uses Macs), then I dont think that there is a reason, to spend all the extra cash on a machine that does not have as much software available as a PC. And I know what i will hear, that the Mac can run PC software, THEN GET A PC!

You may also use them as a wheel chock in the event you need to do this make sure to place firmly towards the downhill facing side of the tire and tap lightly into place. Once complete vehicle stabilization should be complete. *****Make sure to always use the emergency brake when doing this!!!

i personally wouldn't go back to a PC after purchasing my mac. I worked with both for years and i just found the mac easier to use and i also had very little problems with it and the software. As a person who doesnt play computer games or have any software besides adobe products and microsoft word, i dont have issues with the lack of crossover. But thats not to say that a mac is the god of all computers, i do have issues with certain things. in the end it comes down to personal preference.... hope ur wife likes the mac, most certain helps u continue on reefing and :bunnies:

I hope you asked for education discount they give to teachers, as they give this for machine & software, college kids get same deal. if you are employed by the government you get a bigger discount such as mail carriers, if you happen to live with a package carrier than you might get it for free :cheekkiss
