i miss the chats on RG

Can someone pushing for a return to the homepage explain how they get to MR.com? Is it set as your browser's homepage? Do you have it bookmarked? Do you manually type in the address?

Whichever method you initially use to access MR, all you need to do is use the following link instead of www.manhattanreefs.com:

If everyone wanting a return to the old days did the same, none of you would realize a difference. The problem is not the RG's location, it's the lack of desire to use it.

um no, BD....two stores, 1 is on the avenue on my way to work and the other is few less steps but down the block...ill go to the 1 on the ave, why, because its more convienient...location,location,location!

I really dont see whats the problem ,,the site has come along way .Ppl tht started the site are like family then friends . Now that MR has RB and ppl talk more on the phone .That would keep RG a bit slower.

Whats worng with what phil mentioned ? Having 2 pages up your monitor . All the whoopla with RG !! ppl still chat ,not as much thou thru RG . Since they move RG to its own page ,ppl have not stopped tlking abou tthat we have more to look and offer on the site then RG lol


The site ---Now that the site is growing it seems that some members cant take that ,I know 2 years ago the site was different and most ppl want that back ,believe me if we can trun back time we would ,but things move foward ,shouldnt we as ppl move foward as well??? we now have more members ,more personalitys ,more attitudes ,more questions and selling and buying . which would mean more work for the MODS ,we as a community should consider the work they have to go thru and not only RG to keep the site the way it is.

I like the 2 options we have for the RG ,Old Skool or it own age .

Lets not forget we are reef site ,and we have lots more option to use then other site like us

Move on ppl .the site is growing we have to except that and all its changes .

I do miss the RG the way it was, only because nobody uses the new RG.

the fact that it makes the site look bad to new visitors is not worth it.

Here's what I don't get; The people who donate their time to help make the site the great site it is today pretty much all feel the same about the statement above. Yet, they all came out to defend a photshopped picture of men dress as women on the homepage. I didn't post in that thread because I didn't want to add fuel to the fire. Yeah, I got a kick and laughed at the picture; until I had to explain the picture to my three girls (ages 10,5&5). All of sudden I didn't find the picture amusing.

Make the RG password enabled and only accessible after certain length of membership or posts.
