No the payment processing thing is old news. They lost their account and their money. Now they are using bitcoin. I was already VIP (think it was like $10). Looks like it is up just running slower due to all the extra traffic created.
Yea, I looked at that bitcoin thing... quite confusing. I'll stick with preDB and NZBIndex for now. Maybe I'll setup my own indexer, but it's been awhile since I mucked with LAMP, so it'll take me a little time to re-invent the wheel.
Sorry, I do not. Some sites even revoked invites from their membership to prevent a huge influx (read: stay under FACT/RIAA's radar) of new applicants.
It indexes the message parts that makes up the .RARs/.PARs/etc off Usenet servers (ie. Giganews/Newshosting/Astraweb) and it spits out a XML based file called .NZB. You then use an NZBReader like SABNZBD or Grabbit and it goes out and grabs all the needed parts to decode.
Fancier index sites can also spit out RSS feeds that a reader like SABNZBD can poll at a predetermined time and automatically download/extract/categorize your content.
