Awilda in rockaway needs help with heat

My Occupy Sandy relief contacts connected with Awi today and brought her food, flashlights, batteries and a check in from a construction guy. They will return tomorrow to check in and try, if possible, to get her some gas.

Omg, I didn't see this thread till now.
I am glad to read that she is doing better now.
I hope to be able to get some gas soon and if I can get to drive out there before she gets more gas, then I'll bring her some.

I feel stuck here not being able to help hands on with people that i respect on here. With my back and not being able to get gas i feel worthless. Let awilda kmow i was thinking of her and my offer stands to people that needs a place to hold there livestock i have electricity. Thats all i can do to try and help the reefers that have done so much for me. I have a generator that i lent out to a fellow reefer and its now at a friends house and if he gets electric someone else is free to use it

I found gas by me tonight (amazing!) and call Awilda to ask if she still needed it, but her son got her hooked up and she is in good shape with gas at this time

At length we discussed the storm and for those of you whop know her...she is NOT going to let this blip get her down. Full steam ahead..atta girl

Tom as for gas I can by pass the line 1 time because of my job I can fill the cans up if u get them to me or we meet up. I know skipping the line is bad but some ppl just need it bad not for work but for health so Im ok in that reason. Tom txt me or RB me

I was just able to finally get gas today I wish I could have sooner I definitely would have hooked her up. Every friggin station has been dry out here or insane. People were on Francis Lewis blvd for over 36 hours the other day..people getting shot and stabbed and fights breaking out. SMH I thought by now it would be back to normal but it's still pretty crazy. I have gas now so let me know if she needs anything else Tom I'll be heading to Staten in the afternoon to go deliver pizzas, clothing and other supplies to families in the same situation or worse. Hang in there Awilda and everyone else too. We'll get through it we always do!

As for duke, I know what you mean bro I can't budge with the lil bit of gas I have and I'm not getting gas out here and I can risk going to jersey but it would be a one way mission and I can't get stranded in jersey lol I feel your pain bro it's like mad max out here!

Oh my goodness! My heart is overfilled with love & joy!!!!
All the love, and concern shown here towards me I don't know what to say. I cannot find the proper words to express what I am feeling!
I had 2 angels in human form come to my home yesterday with a generator, extension cords, and these beautiful bright red cans filled with liquid gold! I was cold, but my biggest concern was my meds that require refrigeration! Thank you Tom, Richie, Randy, Widdy, Wingo who has been trying to come to my rescue since Sandy came rolling through, and of course to all of those who lifted me up in your prayers thank you! there is nothing more precious then the love you have all poured out on these pages! may my Heavenly Father repay you all greatly, which I know He will!!!
My tanks did not make it, but will try my hardest to make the "MR Family Re-Union"!:grouphug:

We got power back today!!woohoo

It's not on throughout the whole house; because the wires that are connected to junction boxes in the basement have to all be changed. But I thank God my fridge & stove are now working!!!! My furnace will be repaired tomorrow.

Thank you all who came to our rescue making sure I could keep. My medication cold, and our bodies warm.:grouphug:

A phenomenal ending to a super day!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 21 days I have all the comforts of home once again!

Now to start the real clean up!! Disinfect my fridge & freezers. Empty my tanks of all dead corals, sand, and begin to cycle my main tank.:happysad:
Get down to the basement for the daunting job of clean up, and killing all the mold! Really not looking forward to the last one.:screama::banghead::bigeyes:

Got my rainsuit, face mask, rubber boots, rubber gloves, germicidal bleach, mold control. Now for the energy, and a couple of days of no pain....lol
