I have some insurance that came with my car tires and because of it, I thought I was married to using the same OEM tires that came on it but the GOOD news is that I can put any tires on it that I want and they'll replace the exact tire I put on it if it should get damaged including curb rash/side wall flat, pothole damage etc.
So now that I can get any tires that I want, I just wanted to see what others would recommend for an "Ultra High Performance All-season Tire" and possibly where to get them from. I've been looking on tirerack.com.
So far, I've looked at the following: (Ultra High Performance All-season Tires)
Continental Extreme Contact DWS (my car originally came with Continental ContiProContact tires... sticky enough but soft sidewall support)
Kumho Ecsta 4X ...... cheaper and that's all I know.
Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position (local shop recommended these but said michelines were better for the same price)
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (these are the ones that a local shop & tire rack customer service recommended)
PS: I don't mind a louder ride becasue of road noise. I like a more tactile ride. The stiffer the tires are, the better. I do need All-Season tires tho. Next summer I'll get another set of rims with sticky summer tires.
Thanks in advance for your input!
