Its a top down dungeon crawler. You need to like those types of games to like diablo 3. Its a super simple game, you pick your class then roam around dungeons for hours leveling, picking up items, and improving your character. After you clear the game you do it again for more levels, after you finish that you try the harder difficulty to get more items, more levels and better stuff, then after that you do it again for the even harder difficulty to max level. I think they said you need to clear the game 4-5 times to get max 60. Each clear is about 4-6 hours. Anywhere from 30-60 hours to get to 60. At 60 you will be playing the hardest difficulties to get the super items to sell at the RMAH.
IMO, I think they really screwed up by not adding a random dungeon system like torchlight has where you can go for hours going down levels killing things. Dunno if they are adding something like that or not. I can see myself getting extremely bored after the second run through of the campaign.
If you like to run around killing tons of things using AOE spells and feeling super OP doing it then this is your game. All they did was make finding players to run dungeons with easier with this update and allow people to make some real money off doing so.
Take a look at torchlight 2. Im sure its going to have a smoother launch and playability, better graphics although a little more cartoony.
