Thats all well and good for the lipa workers but ive drove around all of lindenhurst looking for pictures to take of damage trees and any cool pictures of the aftermath of the storm and still havent seen 1 lipa truck in my area.funny i look at the map and the wealthier communities have 95 percent of there power back and places like copiage and amittyville are still in the red and middle class communities are still in the yellow hmmmmm

I wish you could help jerl.i have the generator going.i want to ask the guy right in back of me if i can use his power but feel weird asking .his power is running.my pop is bringing me a small generator. People are telling me to relax and the generator will be fine but im making sure i have a back up plan if my generator fails.i worked to hard in the past few weeks to making my tank nice and its almost there.and my wife just got home from the hospital and trying to make her comfortable with a fan and the tv.im juust real frustated at this point.

still in the dark.as far as i know im looking into early next week.thats what the map says and a couple of neighbors heard the same.the guy in back of me is letting me use his power from 12 am till 6am for the fridge and tank

Hudson River

Actually live about 15 miles south of Albany overlooking the Hudson. But easier to say I live in Albany as the small town I live in, doesnt even deliver mail at your house. Glad the Hudson River went down last night, however that means you are in NYC are slated to get our water.

Also on day 4. No generators available to use/buy. Have the all my tanks on battery air pumps and am using inverters and car batteries to get some powerheads working. Already lost all of my frozen fish food and now my regular fridge is getting warm as well. Lesson learned. Buy a generator!

God forbid they work through the night and through a HOLIDAY weekend. They had the president of LIPA on channel 7 getting an earfull from residents of Merrick who had called the news channel. Wouldn't you know it their power was restored shortly after. Maybe your neighborhood should do the same. Just a suggestion in this time of desperation!! Best of luck

lost power (and cellular) Sat. night around midnite...finally came back on around 6 PM tonite...back off at 10 PM, on again at 10:45...praying it stays on.
Have been home almost entire time...don't like to run generator, without being close by...let my daughter use my inverter for grandsons tank... so far, looks like we lost nothing!

We got power... Thank you to all the people out there helping with the strom clean up and repairs. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family's effected by the storm
