  1. Glasscages.com

I ordered late one Friday and received a 48x18x17 acrylic tank/sump from them 10 days later. Like picasso trigger said, the build is not as pretty as others but the strength is certainly there. It wouldn't suffice as a display tank, but as a custom sump there's no better price. I had them put in...
  2. Iwaki, Blueline, Pan World???

After going to a few vendor websites, I figured out that the two pumps were the same: This how the Pan World and Blueline Pumps match up. Pan World 40PX .... = Blueline HD20 Pan World 50PX .... = Blueline HD30 Pan World 50PX-X . = Blueline HDX30 Pan World 100PX .. = Blueline HD40 Pan World...
  3. Iwaki, Blueline, Pan World???

I'm considering either an Iwaki, Blueline, or Pan World pump as my return pump from my sump, but I have a few questions I think that my fellow reefkeepers could help me answer. 1) Somewhere along the line, I heard that some of the Iwaki pumps don't have cooling fans and thus make less noise...
  4. my new 50mm sigma macro (big image)

These are great photos. I really like the macro shots you guys/gals get. I'm looking to get a Canon Digital Rebel or 20D. Not sure exactly what I can get away with my wife yet. Hopefully the 20D! Either way I'm sure to be on a budget for the extras. I was looking at the Canon 50mm lens at...
  5. Starphire vs Low-Iron Glass

I wanted a center overflow with 3 - 1" drains with no returns. That makes it a custom with Oceanic and AGA, which translates to more money than I wanted to spend. My returns will be with two one inch sea swirls and additional flow will be accomplished with Tunze Streams. Also, I wanted a...

I went and picked up'd the tank I ordered from glasscages last weekend. I ended up ordering a standard 180 and not getting the low-iron glass. I went with a standard 180 instead of the previous deminsions mentioned in this thread because of the size of my doors. They are only 32 inches wide and...

  8. Problem with Remora Pro!! UGH!!

That's what I thought about the Mag 3. I took the the skimmer out of the sump this morning and cleaned what I could. The only thing you can clean though is injector, rinse out the housing, and clean the pump. It's been running for about and hour. Hopefully this will magically do something, I...
  9. Problem with Remora Pro!! UGH!!

Have you ever heard of a Mag 3 being so over powered for Remora Pro that it pushes about a gallon an hour of liquid? Is this a problem you've heard of before? Does this problem not happen with the people that run the standard Rio 1400?
  10. Problem with Remora Pro!! UGH!!

    The upgrade. The Mag 3.
  11. Problem with Remora Pro!! UGH!!

    *BUMP* Any other suggestions, Please?!?
  12. New food source?

I don't really know how strong of a toxin a sugar ant has, but what I do know is that this is toxin they would have not had evolved for since its not even in their enviroment.
  13. New food source?

I can't see it being any good. Ants have toxins in their bites that I would think wouldn't be any good for your fish or corals.
  14. Problem with Remora Pro!! UGH!!

Alright I can try that, but why would Aqua C have the Mag as an upgrade if you'll get 3-4 gallons of water every 3 to 4 hours, which whould just drain your aquarium?
  15. Problem with Remora Pro!! UGH!!

It's already on a longer tube. About 12 inches or so. I'm using it in my sump and accomadate the extra length.
