I just found some little sugar ants marching across the bench in my shop so I scooped up about 20 or 30 and dumped them in one of my tanks. The fish went crazy eating them up! Mostly clown and torpedo gobies. Even the polyps closed up on a couple. There are no pesticides here and I have heard ants have alot of protien. What do ya'll think. Good or Bad. Andy

I can't see it being any good. Ants have toxins in their bites that I would think wouldn't be any good for your fish or corals.

Do you think their toxin is stronger than a coral or bristle worm?

I don't really know how strong of a toxin a sugar ant has, but what I do know is that this is toxin they would have not had evolved for since its not even in their enviroment.

That is true. I think I might try them on some Cardinal fry and see what happens. Would be alot easier than raising rotts. and brine shrimp.
