Its not worth the extra money . Go with a stockman or durso stand pipe. Much cheaper to put together and alot quiter. HTH Jeff

They are right. You will have to remove it to get the pump off without getting your floor wet. I replaced my mag with an ehiem(sp) 1250 and it runs quiter, cooler and doesnt leak. Jeff

While I agree they might not need to be feed. Mine eats meaty foods if they come close enough for it. I feed it small pieces of frozen meaty foods that I feed my fish. HTH Jeff

I had 2 rio's crap out on me also. Luckly they were used for my make up water and not in my main tank. Jeff

My cbs has gone thru 2 peppermints and a cleaner shrimp. She doesnt bother anything else but other shrimp. Jeff

They stay under the sand . You wont be able to see them very often. Jeff

Well mine did fine for about 8 months and then slowly withered up and then died. I keep the skeleton in the tank to remind myself about buying things that I shouldn't. Jeff

I got a 2" maxima clam for $36 from a LFS. I also ordered golden pearls and phytoplankton. Jeff
