Hi All,

I just wanted to find out what would be the easiest way, if you've had this problem, to change the pump ( Mag 5 - to loud ). The reactor is in a tight space underneath the tank. I can't seem to get the water inside the reactor emptied into the sump so that when I replace the pump I don't have it overflowing onto the carpet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need to remove the reactor. These things should be cleaned out every 6 months anyway

Hi,

I have two GEO reactors they work great,but as goldfish said, they do need cleaned. They get stopped up around the bottom.

They are right. You will have to remove it to get the pump off without getting your floor wet. I replaced my mag with an ehiem(sp) 1250 and it runs quiter, cooler and doesnt leak.
