Different colors, but he does look remarkably like a Flamingo Tongue!

Pseudosimnia marginata - Soft coral cowrie, endemic to dendronephthya soft corals, Anita's reef, The Similan islands, Andaman sea, Indian Ocean, Thailand, Asia

From this page.

Pseudosimnia marginata - german

If it is this species, you'd have to feed it dendronephthya sp., notorious for dying in aquariums. Poor cowrie :(

thanks Dean, I stopped by GA and picked up a carnation. I never thought I would get one, let alone for a snail to eat :snail: :smash: :arg: I'm slowly filling the tank with specialized eaters.

I've not seen it since it went in the tank.If it finds the carnation I'll be sure to take more pics.

snail update

the snail has landed :snail:

I did not think I would ever see it again, but it found the dendronephthya I put in the tank a few days ago.

I glued the dendronephthya to a rock near the front of the tank so I could get a better photo.

it's in the middle of the tank between the two vortechs, it will always have good flow going over it. The fish food I make will feed it and I'll supplement with some spot feedings.

this plan won't work as well as I thought, forward to this thread
