You mean when someone is selling ai LEDs for 10 bucks less than retail and he states that they are only one week old , and he losses his cool when you request the date of manufacture on the side panel lol , I like my stuff new , something about that warrantee that keeps me happy.

I was at a lfs last week when they were checking there salinity. I saw it. They then were adding salt directly into tanks to raise the salinity. Was told they keep,it so low to prevent parasites and such. As far as raising salinity aren't you supposed to raise it slow therefore preventing shock?

That is true salinity is kept low for fish

It doesnt prevent them it only masks them until you add them to a tank with higher salinity.

When the same people see a freebie posted when it's too late to get it and make a profit off of it.......... Speed is everything on the freebie thread and free items in this hobby are very hard to come by, survival or the fastest to pick up the items.
